Kim and Lisa flank Ron Thompson of Invest Creative. Thompson made two $5000 grants to Dwell With Dignity during the party! Both grants will be paid before the September 15th deadline to raise a $30,000 matching grant.

Congratulations to Dwell With Dignity! This Dallas-based non-profit just celebrated its second birthday Friday at its Dallas home. I've been photographing the group's events and installs so naturally, I wanted to be a part of their celebration. DWD volunteers aim to change lives by providing design needs to people in transistion. Check out the site to learn more how you can help with money, donations or sweat equity.

Danielle and Byron

Such a charming wedding to post on this first day of June! I just loved how sweet this wedding was with all the details the couple chose to include. Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas was the location and Marty Younkin of LoveNotes officiated. As you can see, Danielle and Byron were having a blast during their ceremony with Marty's wonderful approach to presiding over a meaningful and memorable ceremony. Mama Mehreen

Mehreen allowed me to share two of my favorites. She's seven months pregnant and looks amazing. It was a really fun and spontaneous shoot. Thanks Mehreen and Riz. It was nice to meet you.

Congratulations to North Texas' newest couple! Elizabeth and Johnathan produced a beautiful wedding at one of the area's finest locations. The weather was perfect, the wind let up from the past couple of days and everyone had a blast!

Congratulations also to the wedding vendor team. I cannot say enough about the service provided by the staff at Castle Hills. I've had the pleasure of photographing weddings there many times and I have never been disappointed with the service provided to the client. From the golf shop to the food and beverage service to the wedding coordinator, Castle Hills is a wonderful place to host your wedding and reception.

Champ!

I've been working on this concept for a while. Thanks to my buddy, Reese, I was able to photograph my vision. Reese is the perfect model for this too. Look closely and you'll see the scars from him heart surgery. He is a four-year survivor! These images will be submitted to the non-profit  Saving Little Hearts. This group offers support and education for families affected by congenital heart defect issues. Perhaps one of Reese's images will grace the cover of their annual fundraising calendar. Good luck, Champ!

Dwell With Dignity's First Installation Of 2011!

It's been a while since I have blogged (Can you tell I have been BUSY?). So, this entry is a great one to get me back into the blogging mode. Dwell With Dignity completed it's first installation for 2011. As you know, I donate my time to photograph the final design. These images help the group market and elicit donations for this worthy non-profit. DWD's aim is to change lives by changing surroundings. It's a crucial need for some Dallas' folks who find themselves transitioning into a new stage in their lives. And it also benefits their children. They have a safe, clean place to live and learn! Soon the key will be turned over to a deserving mom and baby. They will know what it's like to have a comfortable, designed-with-love new home by the volunteers and creators of Dwell With Dignity. Ethereal Imagery

Today was the first day of the North American Body Painting Championship at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Dallas. I captured these amazing works of art thanks to the artists and the very patient models. The competition continues Saturday and Sunday. It's some pretty cool stuff! But you have to be 21 to attend.

Happy Valentine's Day!

In a tribute to the romance of Valentine's Day, I offer these images of local tango dancers. I had the privilege of photographing them during the rehearsal for Noche De Amor at the Rose Marine Theater in Fort Worth. Tango North Dallas produced the event. What a treat for the eyes and ears!
